Microsoft’s Education Product Group (EdPG) is a product and audience owner for the key outcomes in Education and our charter includes both tech and non tech students, educators, and education elites. Our particular group focuses on reaching and delighting the core audiences that engage in education at all levels. We are looking for a proven trailblazer to take on driving the vision and managing the team to win students globally. This role should have a track record of success through both HQ and field execution but offers a leader the chance to evolve the mission and grow up on previous work while building the future.

The Director drives the end-to-end strategy and execution of our offers for students through our traditional engines and products in MS, as well as the creation of a new back to school engine for the company. They will also organize and drive our field strategy and planning work across the team which includes the ROB for education through field and Corp stakeholders. While embracing broad scale offers and marketing this role also leads some critical operational components of the business. This position will be accountable for strategic outcomes and tactical execution through the teams. It will take responsibility for offers, breadth adoption and field strategy in education.

Core Responsibilities:
Ownership of core programs such as Student PC, Education ROB and others.
Defining and driving the student offers, online share, and field strategies
Growing the overall market share of students using MS products and services
Managing a small but high performance team of program and marketing leads
Serve as a core member of the leadership team
Deep cross group collaboration with other stakeholders across Microsoft
Collaborating with and reporting to Sr. Executives within Microsoft

Qualifications:
Ability to deeply understand the global markets and audience trends and identify/implement new opportunities / trends which maximize value / impact for the audience
Experience building trusted advisor relationships with key partners, influential and shaping industry dialog
Proven people leadership experience with a track record of building high performance teams
Proven ability to build and execute an effective communication strategy reaching customers / partners as well as internal stakeholders
10-15 years relevant business experience in business development and/or marketing disciplines with excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s Degree required and MBA is a plus
