Microsoft Financing (MSF) provides financing solutions to Microsoft customers in many countries around the world. The group seeks to drive incremental Microsoft product and services revenue and has been one of the highest growth businesses at Microsoft. With the growth and maturity of the MSF business, we are seeking a seasoned finance leader who can represent the business internally and externally at senior executive level as well as grow the MSF finance function to new levels.

This position plays a key role on the MSF business leadership team, helping to set strategic direction and managing all aspects of the finance function. You will be responsible for leading the finance organization in a period of rapid growth and expansion. The position works with the General Manager of the MSF business to ensure origination targets are met, P&L targets are achieved, and all growth is done in a controlled and compliant manner.

This role has a considerable impact on all Microsoft Financing activities around the world. Significant cross-group collaboration is essential, as the role partners with the Microsoft Financing Advisory Board, Subsidiary Leadership, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Tax, Worldwide Licensing & Pricing (WWLP) Finance, and other Microsoft organizations. In addition to internal collaboration, the position has extensive interface with external vendors and requires strong representation of Microsoft interests.

You will be responsible for all financial and accounting operations in the MSF Business. These decisions are critical in ensuring the business grows profitably and in a controlled manner. The position will also have significant input into broader business decisions, such as pricing, entry into new markets, and strategic partnerships with third parties.
Should a new financing product be considered, you would have considerable input into its design and implementation.

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 14 years of related work experience including team management/leadership experience
Previous experience directly working/interacting with senior executive level officers or board
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent

Other/Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in the financing industry sector and/or experience working with a business providing financing solutions/products
MBA or other masters degree in related business areas
CPA/CA, Public Accounting experience or Internal Audit experience
Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of internal controls and compliance
Strong people and project management skills and a demonstrated ability to drive the effective implementation of procedures and policies to support operational business requirements across regional and organizational boundaries
This position requires someone who is able to effectively manage multiple projects at the same time, has excellent attention to detail and works effectively under deadline constraints
Experience in multinational financial operations with good understanding of US GAAP a strong plus
Candidates need to be effective in achieving results both through individual and cross team efforts, show a propensity for learning, and demonstrate the ability to identify , analyze, interpret, and deliver sound solutions.
